16 Full Engineering Technology Scholarships Available for Fall 2012

Three Rivers Community College and Millstone Station (Dominion Nuclear Connecticut) are offering 16 full scholarships for the nuclear engineering technology degree program. The application deadline for students entering the 2012 fall semester is February 15, 2012.

The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, books, and fees for a two-year associate degree program, starting the Fall 2012 semester. Additionally, students will receive a guaranteed $50 per month stipend during the nine-month academic year.  Scholarship students will also have atwelve-week paid internship/coop experience at the Millstone Nuclear Station during the summer between their first and second academic year.

Prior scholarship recipients have experienced an excellent transfer of credits from this TAC (Technology Accreditation Commission) of ABET-accredited degree program into baccalaureate degree programs (ABET is the recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology). Those opting to enter the workplace as technicians have found their education and experience in strong demand by Connecticut business and industry.

The engineering technology was first initiated in 1983. For more information regarding the scholarship program or engineering program curriculum, call Professor James Sherrard, Nuclear Program Chairman and Scholarship Program Coordinator, at 860-885-2393.
