Campus Water Problems
As many of you are aware, somehow during
construction this morning a hole was
inadvertently torn or punched in the
waterline from our well head at the Mohegan
Campus which essentially shut off our water
for most of the day. Our maintenance staff
and the contractors work diligently
throughout the day to restore the water and
were finally successful about 4:30 this
afternoon. On reconnection we have super
chlorinated the tanks and water lines to
insure the water is not contaminated in any
way. The health inspectors have come in to
check the repairs and have confirmed that
the water is completely safe.
Unfortunately, the water will taste like
chlorine and not be very palatable for
awhile, so the Cafeteria will continue to
pass out bottle water at no charge (one
bottle at a time) for at least another day
or so.
Thanks to everyone who helped through this
difficult time. Nice job!!
