Rowland can't bully Norwich council
Editor:
The headlines were bold and black: "Rowland: I'll move Three Rivers." The governor's reaction smacks of blackmail. It's my way or the highway.
Kudos to the City Council members who are willing to take a stand to preserve our neighborhood and fight for the rights of their constituents.
Our home has been in the family for over 60 years and I resent the infringement on my rights. Why should I be threatened by worsening water problems and a negative impact on an already horrendous traffic problem?
As is, we have limited egress and access from our street. You take your life in hand to enter Washington Street during peak hours of traffic. We are not opposed to the community college; however, is anyone listening to Todd Postler and his reasonable solution?
Again, I thank council members who are mindful of our neighborhood needs and are not bullied or swayed by state officials.
