President's
Message Part Two: Resources for Teaching Part Three: Resources for Students Part Four: Instructional Information and Policies return to Academic Programs page
Three Rivers
Community College is a learning college, committed to meeting diverse
educational needs in a stimulating environment, with partnerships that
contribute to the education, economic and cultural growth of the Southeastern
Region of the State. This is our mission. After that long, long sentence,
there is little to be added, except for the work itself. Faculty members
are the stewards of the learning process. You are entrusted with the most
diverse groups of learners, each looking to fulfill a dream. I truly believe that the mission
of the community college and the work done here create the most
outstanding part of the American education. And now to help
those who help others. This
handbook will serve as a guide and a ready resource for you. The contents have been developed
by faculty and staff who understand the commitment to teaching and
learning and who can guide you through some of the intricate policies,
procedures and agreements.
The information is to assist you in the workings of the college,
however please be aware the collective bargaining agreements are essential
documents also. You will need
to know both. Enjoy your work
here. If there are ways in
which I may assist you, please feel free to contact my office. President Grace
Jones A Faculty Handbook outlines
essential information but can never convey the spirit, camaraderie, and
sense of shared mission among teachers. I’ve rarely encountered a Three
Rivers faculty member who did not feel privileged to be a part of our
college. We are
dedicated and committed to our students and each other. If you are new
to Three Rivers, we welcome you.
If you are a veteran faculty member, may you continue to
experience the joy and fulfillment that comes through
noble work. Sincerely Ann Branchini |
