Diversifying the sciences at TRCC
The STRONG-CT program is a collaboration between the University of Connecticut (UConn), Three Rivers Community College (TRCC), Manchester Community College (MCC) and Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC).The mission of the program is to increase the diversity in the science field. STRONG-CT targets first generation and historically underrepresented student populations to increase enrollment, retention and graduation of these students from both community college partnering institutions and the University of Connecticut. At TRCC, students upon graduating with their Associates Degree in Environmental Engineering Technology will then transfer to UConn to pursue their Bachelor Degree in the life sciences. There are 13 bachelor degree programs of study under the STRONG-CT Alliance at UConn.
